I've come to realize...

I filled out this survey the other day on MySpace titled "I've come to realize" and it got me thinking about certain things that have taken me years to figure out, so I thought I would share some of them.

~ I have come to realize that you must have great patience in life, not everything or everyone moves at the same pace...

~ I have come to realize that no matter how hard you try to please someone you will never make them completely happy, and that if they really care about you they would not want you to please them, they would just be happy with who you are.

~ I have come to realize that in order to love someone you must allow them to love you and let them see the real you, the good and the bad...

~ I have come to realize that you should not keep emotions bottled up inside, you have the right to cry and feel sad, and to let your friends help you.

~ I have come to realize that life goes much faster after you hit 30, and it can change in a second, so always enjoy it as much as possible.

~ I have come to realize that children do not get easier as they grow up, with each new phase in their life comes a whole new set of issues for them and us parents.

~ I have come to realize that God really does need to be first in your life, and although we may not always understand or feel his presence he is always there...

~ I have come to realize that there will always be someone else who has more than you and material things are not as important as I once thought...

~ I have come to realize that you can't change others you can only change yourself.

~ I have come to realize that just because you may attend church does not mean you are saved, you must apply your beliefs to your every day life.

~ I have come to realize that their are very few people that you can trust in this world, so you must trust in yourself....

~ I have come to realize that life is full of surprises, good and bad, just believe that everything happens for a reason, so just breath your way through them...

~ I have come to realize that I will not always be the only women in my sons life, he will have a family of his own some day.

~ I have come to realize how thankful I am to be a mother and have three beautiful healthy kids..

~ I have come to realize that my husband will always be the spender in our marriage.

~ I have come to realize that Hailey will probably never listen to me even as she grows into adult hood.

~ I have come to realize that I will always cry and feel sentimental when I drink....

~ I have come to realize that I should be thankful for the time I had with Todd and my Grandpa before they died. We can't change our past...

~ I have come to realize that it is okay to just be me, and that I am much happier with only love and compassion in my heart. Holding onto bitterness only hurts yourself.

This is so good. So so good.
I alway knew you had a deep soul. And you're just in your 30s! Imagine all you'll learn in the next 30 years! You should write a book...

As much as I hated turning 30, dosent it feel great comming to a point where you feel like you are really figuring life out and what really matters? Maybe it has to do with experiences more than age... Great post Shelly, really got me thinking. Love ya!

Great job girl! I think it's ironic how as we get older, we're all starting to realize the same things in our lives. I'm so glad I have friends like you and Lisa to share my life experiences with! I've come to realize how valuable friendship really is, how strong the bonds become and just how far friends will go to pick you up out of the dumps when you really need them!! Thanks for picking me up!! :-D
Love ya~
